Mobile filtration for welding fumes and ultra-fine dust
Mobile cartridge filters provide flexible source extraction for welding fumes, smoke and fine particulate directly where they are generated. Compact design, cleanable cartridge media and mobile construction make them ideal for changing workstations, welding areas and production environments where a fixed central system is not required.
What are mobile cartridge filters and when should you use them?
Mobile cartridge filters combine extraction, filtration and dust collection in one compact unit that can be moved between workstations. They are primarily used for welding fumes and ultra-fine particulate where contaminants should be captured close to the source before they spread through the production area. Depending on the application, extraction can be performed through a flexible arm positioned above the process or directly at the welding torch using a high-pressure system.
Why choose cartridge filtration?
Cartridge filters provide a large filtration surface within a compact housing, making them well suited to fine dust and welding fume applications. Cleanable filter cartridges also support longer service life and lower operating costs compared with disposable media, particularly where pulse-jet cleaning is used. Prime is specifically positioned for ultra-fine dust filtration and uses cleanable long-life cartridges.

Where mobile cartridge filters are used
These units are best suited to local welding and fine-dust applications where mobility and direct source capture are more practical than a central extraction system.
