ABOUT EXTRACTION ARMS

What are extraction arms and when should you use them?

Extraction arms are designed to capture airborne contaminants as close as possible to the source before they spread into the surrounding workspace. They are commonly used for welding fumes, micro dust, vapours and other hot contaminants generated at individual workstations. The adjustable arm allows the operator to position the extraction hood exactly where it is needed while keeping the working area accessible. Tehno Filter extraction arms can be connected either to a dedicated extraction unit or to a central ducting system, making them suitable for both individual and multiple workstation installations.

Why source extraction?

Capturing contaminants directly at the point of generation reduces the amount of polluted air that needs to be treated throughout the entire workspace. A well-positioned extraction arm can therefore provide effective local capture while requiring less airflow than general room ventilation.

APPLICATIONS

Where extraction arms are used

Extraction arms are ideal for workstations where contaminants are generated locally and can be captured directly at the source.

WELDING

Targeted extraction of welding gases and fumes directly above the welding zone.

SOLDERING

Local capture for soldering and other processes producing small quantities of fine airborne contaminants.

GRINDING & FINISHING

Extraction of airborne particulate generated during light grinding, finishing and manual processing.

INDUSTRIAL WORKSTATIONS

Local extraction for fixed workstations connected to either a dedicated filter or central ducting.

MULTIPLE WORKSTATIONS

Several arms can be integrated into one central extraction system for larger production areas.

ATEX ENVIRONMENTS

Armotech ATEX is intended for applications where source extraction must be integrated into an ATEX-related process environment.

WHY TEHNO FILTER EXTRACTION ARMS

Designed for everyday industrial use

PRECISE POSITIONING

The arm can be positioned close to the source for targeted extraction of fumes and dust.

FLEXIBLE REACH

Multiple arm lengths allow the extraction point to be positioned around different workstation layouts.

EASY HANDLING

The arm construction allows operators to reposition the extraction hood as the work changes.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

Extraction arms can be connected to individual filtration units or incorporated into a central extraction system.
