Wood dust extraction and briquetting system

Challenge

Woodworking processes generate large volumes of airborne dust and residual material that must be removed continuously without disrupting production. The system needed to handle a high airflow volume while also providing an efficient way to transport and process the collected dust.

Solution

Tehno Filter developed a complete extraction system built around a 37 kW fan with an airflow capacity of 20,000 m³/h. Collected wood dust is transported pneumatically to a 10 m³ silo, where it can be stored before entering the briquetting process. By combining extraction, transport, storage and briquetting in one system, the installation turns loose production waste into a more manageable final material.

Result

The completed system provides continuous dust extraction for the production process while creating a controlled material flow from the machines to the silo and briquetting unit. The result is cleaner production, more efficient handling of wood dust and a more organised approach to production waste.
